Fanfics.

No, I'm not posting fanfics or anything of the sort. I'm (obviously) slacking off in class again and wanted to rant.

Most of the time when I'm in class slacking off, I'm on lj. Most of the time I'm slacking off on lj, I'm reading (D18) fanfics... Well, before, this problem didn't really bother me before and really, it shouldn't.... but it's a recurring problem I see in many many fanfics and it's DRIVING ME NUTS.

People,

my fellow fanfic writers,

my fellow fans,

please, please, please....

...stay in one tense.

I have seen too many good/decent fics go to waste/become unenjoyable due ONLY to constant changes in tense. Even if it's a flashback, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, keep in one tense. I will love you if you follow this one rule.

ah well no, tense changes are fine as long as they're not like... in the SAME PARAGRAPH and SAME SENTENCE.

It just gets annoying when they say someone did something and then someone does something all in one sentence, regarding the same person.
